The DMTF is the industry’s only developers conference dedicated to standards-based systems and network management technologies.
Since most IT organisations have a mixture of tools and heterogeneous data models, integrating some of the data would enable more reliable and efficient management processes, but it’s impractical to attempt to convert existing investments to a single data model or repository. Therefore, the DMTF working group was established to develop a standard for federating resources data in heterogeneous repositories.
